Understanding Traffic
When one starts to talk about traffic; ordinarily, what runs through your mind in that very moment? Cars! Cars on the road. Right. That would not be a bad answer. But Cars do not move by themselves, there are people in the cars. Two or three kinds of people may be in a car. In most cases, they are two because one of them plays two parts and if there is one it means he is three in one; he is a Driver, a turn driver and a Passenger. They are the people you would find in any car on the road. The cars can be a commuter Taxi, a personal car, a Bus name it.
Now bringing that situation online, the Cars, the Road and the people are represented/similarized in Traffic article. The cars or people are on the road meaning they are heading somewhere. The people have a role to play. online you may not see people but hits (meaning the number of people that have visited your site) are recorded. The driver drives the car/passengers to the designed destination. I am to interpret each statement; the driver, the car and the passenger. The passenger want to be taken somewhere, then the drive flows the roads to the passenger's destination. For online wise, a car is a Search Engine and the three persons in it; the driver(want), co-driver helper is Keyword and a meta tag, a passenger the third person in the car is a thought(your thought about that product or deciding what to have and not to have). You will not realize that in that car you may have a hidden passenger(second thought) until you have reached the destination(site).
When i first come online a year ago, i used to hear Keywords, meta tags, SEO, traffic and i could not understand them. If you are to make money online, know this that whatever you do you what to contribute to the amount of TRAFFIC to your site. Traffic is the backbone of money online. Without without Traffic there is no money as the same rule applys offline, without clients, customers, you sell nothing. the more customers you have the much money you are to get. Therefore the need to do whatever to bring, attract more Traffic and customers applies ASAP. The keywords, the meta tags, SEO, advertising; all contribute to the amount of traffic at your site. How you understand and use them matters.
We shall use the car, passenger situation to understand Traffic and making money online. The search engine is the car / Bus / Bike. When we use Google, yahoo, Bing, and many others search engines to find what we want: it is the same thing we can use our car or bike to takes us somewhere.
What brought me to search is the driver. It is obvious that what you want to have, see or to know give us a motive to search for it using the search engine to find the right path (links) to reach it. The offline scene rial here is you have no beer or soda left in your fridge and in order to do a refill,you have to go do some shopping. you get into your car(Search engines online) out of the driveway and you hit the road.
Then you look for the nearest shopping malls / shops around. The driveway(keyword) connects us to the Road. Keywords describe the type of want to the Search Engine. And it is from them that a related search list is produced. The SE find us the latest sites, articles, pictures and videos about that search for item. The road(Meta tags) to take is what guides us to what we want to have, see or know. Meta tags describe where the people should go or what to do. The arrangement of the searched list or search results depends on several factors. The factors are determined by the Search Engines and that is what is called SEO Search Engine Optimization. The position of your site on this search list will determine the amount of traffic you are to receive.
When we reach your destination/shopping mall(the site ), we get a to see now the passenger at work. Get what you want and quit the site or get something else, get nothing at all or you do not like what you see and move on to another stall. You can even end up getting both what you came for and something else. Those are some of the thought(the passengers that may come with in your car) you receive when you are at a site.
This scenery reveals you how people end up to your site. There many things to put into consideration as one person may multiply in order to turn into many. All i mean is from having one, to two,_ _ _ until you reach a million or plus views a day or month. Remembering that the more Visitors you have mean the much traffic at your site and probably the more likely sales you are to make and the more sales made, means the more money in your pocket from your online business.
